The was a crying cabinet in GA located in a small town of Hiawassee that was owned by a women from the 1900s.  Bought at an antique mall, the family thought it was absolutely

beautiful and put it in there dining room.  After a few days the family kept finding puddles of water on the floor under the cabinet.

The family had a daughter at the time, 8 years old, who told her mother the woman keeps her up at night crying.  The mother asked her daughter what the woman looked like and the daughter described the woman as; grandma but with her hair up, motioning a bun, and long grey dress.  The mother didnt know what to do so told the husband, the husband then went to the antique mall and questioned the seller.  The seller stated that he has had the same issues with water on the floor, but didn't know about the woman nor heard anything.  He did however know that it was a piece from an old house in town, that was passed down through the original builders family and just received it when new owners "outside of family" bought the property. The husband asked who the original family was, the seller stated who and the husband then went to the library.  The original family was one of the very first families who started the town, and the house had gone through over 10 generations.  The last member sold the house and moved out of state.  The husband came to the conclusion that the women was a fifth generation and was morning the fact that the cabinet had been removed from her families home. The family with the cabinet still keeps it to this day, years later the husband made the statement that the woman no longer cries, he believes she understands that they are taking good care of something that she cherished.
